Honouring Lancashire’s most influential, innovative and inspiring business people aged sub36.
Sub36 is Lancashire Business View's campaign to showcase Lancashire's young business talent. We do this through the regular magazine feature, networking events and annual awards.
The Sub36 Awards 2020 are now closed for entries, as of Friday 28 August 2020.
Finalists have now been revealed here.
Sub36 is about recognising hard work, skill and ambition. It's about recognising the great workplaces that allow the younger generation to flourish.
It’s about making our people and our businesses stronger. It’s about local entrepreneurship. It’s about celebrating Lancashire. It’s about sharing successes widely – in print, online and at the virtual events. It’s about connecting the county.
And it's about providing a platform for young business leaders to learn, grow, develop and connect.
In addition to their trophy, Sub36 winners in 2019 have gained access to a bespoke personal and business mentoring programme.
Sub36 is good for…
"The process couldn’t have been more professionally organised. The Judges welcomed you with a smile and were there to hear about you, not interrogate you. The award has helped boost my profile professionally."Hannah Hughes Harrison Drury Solicitors, Sub36 winner
"Judging was an exciting process, the judges themselves were very supportive and clearly wanted the interviews to go well as much as the applicants did."Chris Smith Pendle Engineering, Sub36 winner
"It's really important for young professionals to meet and network with fellow like-minded individuals in the region and the LBV Sub36 networking events are a great opportunity to do this. Regardless of what sector you work in, by working in partnership we can support one another in the early stages of our careers and strengthen Lancashire's overall offering."Lauren Grice Bespoke Digital Agency, Sub36 finalist
"My Sub36 awards mentor has provided a wealth of knowledge and advice, helped shape my career path and home life. I’m really enjoying my mentoring experience, it has been infinity helpful."Lucas Benson Sub36 Apprentice of the Year 2018
"My mentor has been wonderful. It’s been extremely useful to have someone who I look up to and respect to bounce ideas off and talk about challenges and successes. He’s also given me some great ideas that have and will continue to help me and the business grow."Laura Leyland Sub36 Entrepreneur of the Year 2018
"Going through the Sub36 awards journey has been a catalyst for growth, new ideas, new people and new clients but even more than that was the confidence and subsequent self belief to be acknowledged by such a respected process."Richard Few Sales Geek, Sub36 New Business of the Year 2018
"It was an enjoyable experience creating my application, as it was time spent exploring how I’d contributed to the company and my successes. It helped me to see how much I have progressed since starting my apprenticeship."Elly Littler +24 Marketing, Sub36 Finalist of Apprentice Award 2019
"Entering the Sub36 Awards really allowed me to think on where we’ve come from, where we are now and where we want to be. That was a really important thing to do."Angelo Kornecki AKORN Financial Advice, Sub36 Young Professional Award winner 2019
