We gather this information as Northpoint Publishing Limited trading as Lancashire Business View which owns and produces the Sub36 Awards.

Collection of information

As a visitor, you do not have to submit any personal data to use the website.

You can register for a Sub36 account for information about the awards and to submit entries, without having to opt-in to marketing messages from Sub36 or Lancashire Business View.

If you choose to opt-in we will, from time to time, send you information about the Sub36 Awards or Lancashire Business View and its services and products which we think you may find of interest, using the information you have provided.

You can opt-out at any point in time by using the ‘unsubscribe’ link in every email, or by emailing info@lancashirebusinessview.co.uk

Data is retained for no longer than is necessary for its purpose following which data is deleted securely.

We do our upmost to ensure that all reasonable steps are taken to make sure that your data is treated and stored securely. Whilst we hold it, your information is safely stored within the UK.

By entering the awards we will use the contact details provided to contact you in relation to the entry itself, judging, attending the awards evening and other activity related specifically to your awards entry such as tickets and information for the awards evening.

Lawful basis for processing

Information collected from the website and stored is for the legitimate interest of responding to and acting upon the task for which it was provided.

Where applicable, consent is requested before processing information further – such as sending news, information and marketing messages about Sub36 Awards and Lancashire Business View’s services and products.

Disclosure of information to third parties

When you use the contact form or register for a Sub36 account on this website, the information you provide will be stored by us and not shared.

When you submit an entry you will have the option to ‘opt-in’ to marketing messages from us and our judging partner, so they can contact you regarding their business support services. If you select this option we will share your data with the Sub36 judging partner following the awards process for this purpose only. If you do not opt-in, we will not share your data in this manner.

All entry forms that pass validation point are shared with our judges for the judging process of the awards. Each of our judges sign a non-disclosure agreement so they cannot share or use your data in any way.

Where appropriate, personal information may be disclosed to law enforcement, regulatory or other government agencies, or third parties, where necessary or desirable to comply with legal or regulatory obligations or requests or for the purposes identified above.

What communications will I receive?

1.       Service emails
After registering for a Sub36 account, you will receive an initial email from us to confirm your registration. Following this, from time to time, you may receive further emails specific to your Sub36 account.

2.       News, information and marketing
With your consent, we may use your information to keep you informed about news and events across Lancashire via Lancashire Business View, with our weekly news bulletin (distributed each Wednesday), plus other information in relation to Sub36, Lancashire Business View, its products and services and its partner’s products and services.
