The firm has strong connections with the awards as managing director John French was the overall winner of the 2016 ceremony.
John said: “These awards rightly shine a spotlight on the young business talent in the area. So often industry awards seek to champion the results of whole businesses or large-scale projects, and while of course these are worthy of recognition, so too are the individuals who make them happen.
“When I won in 2016, it was truly humbling and a fantastic honour. I was just so thrilled that the judges had recognised mine and the agency’s success.”
John added: “The win was of course a huge confidence boost, but also a real conversation-starter. The publicity myself and Fat Media received as a result certainly lead to new business enquiries, and gave us added credibility when pitching.”

This year’s competition, now open for entries, has been rebranded from Young ‘Uns to Sub36 – a name which demonstrates its focus on those 36-and-under making things happen in business across the red rose county.
Two new categories have been added in 2018, ensuring stars of the creative industries and professional services sector making their mark in accountancy, law, marketing, property and more get their due recognition
And all winners will now be granted exclusive access to a bespoke mentoring programme with Community & Business Partners who deliver the Northern Mentoring Programme. Each winner of the awards will be matched with a suitable mentor from the heavy line-up of awards sponsors to help their future development.
